August 29, 200619 yr What did everyone get up to on the rare weekend we call Bank Holiday? Think this only applies to people in the UK? Sorry! I took a trip to Notting Hill Carnival, spent a small fortune on jerk chicken (yum... I want some more :P ) and ghana flags, whistles etc. for my boyfriend. The music was amazing, and some of the dancers were just :shock: WOW. The carnival plays a mixture of soca, reggae, bashment, hip hop and RnB. Also some traditional African drumming and loads of steel drums etc. Trying to leave however was a different matter, the number of people was staggering, and trying to move through them while the floats were passing, was mission impossible. So anyways, despite police suspecting carnival to be a site of terrorist attack, no such thing occured, and it truely was a great day out. SHH HUT YUH MUH. DERKHED.

August 29, 200619 yr I went to the last day of the Mathews Street Festival. To be honest, I've just got back and it finished nearly a day ago. Hehe, good times ;) This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
