I thinks this background looks a little messy, I might try to touch it up a bit so as to make it a little less chaotic

The images are very nicely cropped. I would have placed the border as the top most layer though instead of having it below the symbol. The reason is that it looks akward to me since you have the characters behind the border yet in front of the symbol.

 

 

 

The only other thing I might change is the readability of the text... if you intended for it to be read I would work on making it more visible if it is simply there for looks its fine ;)

i like that style very nice, and the cropping is good. i do agree with auldron tho, bring the boarder to the top layer.

 

 

 

the colours go well, a thought tho, is you duplicate the layer with the symbol on it then sepia it, then reduce the opacity, it will flow better with the sig and not stand out as much looking odd =)

 

 

 

not too sure what to think about that large black area above the right hand guys head, too much contrast, maybe lower the contrast? im not sure tho, your choice.

I do love that, you have cropped it very well, but on the shirts, where the 2 suits meet, is it mena be that straight/jagged?

And all the text is not supposed to be legible (if anyone's ever seen the movie thats the prayer they say right b4 they kill one of the mob dudes)

and yes the jackets were strait and jagged like that

i love v1.2, not too keep on 1.3 it doesnt look that goos, the sepia adds to it, imo.
