I would recomend the lvl 27 minotaurs in the stronghold of security. The only thing they drop thats worth something is tons of iron arrows, and since their stackable you can stay there for a long time. There are also several safespots that you could range/mage them from. Another good mage spot is the black knights outside of their fortress (use the spear fence for as a safe). Also if you get your def up you could try out either the flesh crawlers (stronghold of security 2) or catobleans (sp?, stronghold of security 3).
