I recently made a new low-lvl character, just for old time's sake. After getting him to 50 fishing, I tried my hand at woodcutting, and was a bit disturbed. It takes forever to cut down trees with an Iron axe! I literally am still cutting at a tree I started two minutes ago.

 

Is this a bug, or did Jagex once again make f2p harder so people pay for membership?

it because ur using well an iron axe just dont wield the axe just hold it in your inventory so u can just hold a rune axe in invitory and use it
