First tip: Be careful when customizing. Only download from reputable sites, and dont go overboard...I did at first, and its ridiculous. Extensions can slow down firefox. Not that a few arent bad, but many is. Macfee Site Advisor is nice. SessionSaver is incredible until firefox 2.0 comes out (integrated), Google safe browsing, and some others are nice.

There are also 'themes' but i like firefox basic theme. Themes alter the look of firefox, not functions.
