September 24, 200619 yr Im going for 85 mining and its taking forever. Id like the smithing exp too, but if I had 85 mining I could just buy the ores and afford to lose alot of gp. Im f2p if that makes a difference. I powermine in al karrid.
September 24, 200619 yr Personally I'd say no, but there are others that'd disagree (joke..) I think it's better to work Mining directly with Smithing and indiretly with Magic (High-Alchemy and Superheating Ores). I've never liked the idea of working immensly hard to get to mine Runite and left with very poor Smithing. Mentally you wont think it's as much work compared to seperating the two. :
