Id like the smithing exp too, but if I had 85 mining I could just buy the ores and afford to lose alot of gp. Im f2p if that makes a difference. I powermine in al karrid. I think it's better to work Mining directly with Smithing and indiretly with Magic (High-Alchemy and Superheating Ores). I've never liked the idea of working immensly hard to get to mine Runite and left with very poor Smithing.
