Question Concerning Skype

Featured Replies

If anyone uses Skype here I would appreciate some help. I installed skype today and I talk on it. Now I called Japan, Canada, and Local Calls.. Am I going to get charged by my ISP or something? I'm nervous.. :-k :( :| :?

Lol, skype's fun for doing prank calls

...

You won't get charged. If I remember right outgoing Skype calls are free for anyone untill the end of the year. After that you'd have to start paying for it to use it again (I think, don't quote me).

From your ISPs point of view it's just another data stream. Nothing to worry about. :P

Cruiser is that to do with the dam premium internet thing?

I'm not sure quite what you mean.

You mean net neutrality? If yes, no, has nothing to do with it. Skype being free till the end of the year was a promotion type thing they're doing.

Oh yay :-)

So, eh, well. Hmm...I'll go look on the site, i payed for my calls anyhow meh...Twenty times cheaper international calls :-) Yippeee...
