October 9, 200619 yr I'm pretty sure this is in the right section. A couple days ago, I was hacked, and lost everything. I'm manning it out, and not going to quit like all the other people. I had around 5 mil worth of items, but I'm trying to get it back. Thankfully, I had my recovery questions, and that saved my account. I scanned my computer, changed my password, changed my recovery questions and everything. Today, I was hacked, again. Thankfully I got it back again, but I know this cycle will continue, but I have no clue what to do now. Help me out guys.
October 9, 200619 yr Maybe it is a virus in your computer that steal your pass and recovery questions, and probably, the bank PIN, no matter if you change them. No idea about what to do, sorry, but if you want some advice from the noob here, turn off your computer or disconnect from the internet for some time. Hope he thinks the virus was destroyed and leave you. No! You'll die if you try to kill that farmer!nah whips should be as left as is. besides theyre the intestine of an abbysal demon (i think) have fun crafting that.
October 9, 200619 yr Maybe you can reboot your computer and restart your computer from scratch?. Maybe someone like your friends sees your password? You can try to virus scan the computer for keyloggers or get some newer virus software and scan? Hope this helps. October 9, 200619 yr Time for a good ol fashioned "Burn and Dump" Burn your important files to a cd... making darn sure they can't be infected. Wipe harddrive. Reinstall. Cry and go on. Sorry man, I really hate to put it this way, as it's not very helpful, but if they can do this well.... you're boned. A man who doesn't read, is no smarter than a man who can't read.
October 10, 200619 yr Author Okay guys. This has just gotten too crazy, I've cancelled my subscription, and I asked Jagex to perma ban Jack12338, this hacker doesn't deserve to use all my hard work. I'm either just going to 1. Just quit. Or 2. Make a new account. This is hopeless.
October 10, 200619 yr No, not at all! It's not hopeless! What you want to do is reformat your computer. Google search that for complete instruction. Then reinstall windows. Dont forget to get your important files on an external source (Usb, Cd, thousands of floppys, Internet server, whatever need be) But only take neccesary things. You'll be fine, plus it gets alot of accumulated junk off the comp :) Your character is most important over items, dont loose him.
