In late 2003, Reitman and his team met the boys at his offices in Beverly Hills, along with the show's producers and director Mike Clattenburg. Wells remembers sitting in a boardroom with a grand view of the Hollywood sign and being duly impressed. It was the first of many meetings, and some tough script negotiations. "We pitched a lot of crazy ideas that Ivan thought wouldn't work for a first-time audience," says Clattenburg. "He kept beating that into our heads -- first-time audience. And a guy with those credentials, you listen.

"Nudity was something he insisted on," he adds. "And we were kind of like, 'I don't know if we really want to do that.' But he convinced us. He's the king of R-rated comedy, and he said, 'You've got to come up with some funny way to do it.' " Wells, who co-wrote the movie with Clattenberg, says Reitman was "adamant" about it. "He said the young male audience is expecting to see some nudity. We bickered about it for a while and finally compromised. I've never been a fan of it. But I guess it works under the circumstances."

What do you think? Does a comedy need to have nudity in it? Is comedy really coming to a point where something isn't funny unless some 13-year-old kid can get insert censored word off of it?

Of course it doesn't need to have nudity in it. But I've never really been too impressed even with the kinds of jokes some shows use just because they can't think of a way to make a joke funny without talking about sex.

Just my opinion.

Cool.

A comedy movie does not need nudity in it. Although I do believe that a comedy does need some vulgarity to it. I'd rather laugh about someones genitalia then have to look at it. If I wanted to look at it... That's what the internets for!

It can however be used for comedic situations ÃÆÃâÃâà la Jacass: Number Two(censor?). There were way to many skits involving the male genitalia. It was funny for the most part and if anything I learned a valuable lesson out of it. I have a new found respect for my fully functioning private parts.

Would the movie be funny without most of the nudity? Yes

Would it be as funny without it? Maybe, although the movie would be about 20 minutes long then. -.-

Everyone here is crazy about the trailor park boys because it's filmed locally in the neighbouring town. I watch it sometimes but it's not that great of a show. Now, Kenny vs. Spenny on the other hand

The problem with the gene pool is that there's no lifeguard.
