ive seen peoples pixel sigs and i was just wondering how yall make the shading so good, ive worked on a few but i could never get the shading that good.

Pick a light source, and imagine the shadows that it would create. Look at other peoples and see how they did their shadows (but don't rip their work).

Im not any professional pixelist, but I found it easier to do it like this-

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fill it in with the main color

 

 

 

Take the darkest shade you want and shade a little around one edge

 

 

 

take the second darkest and shade next to that etc...
