October 18, 200619 yr Well I decided that training combat bores me so I'm going to train ranging (along with defense and hp). my total lvl is 720 and I'm a "semi noob" I guess you could say. my ranging lvl is almost 40 now and I was wondering if I should really take the time to do the dragon slayer quest (which I probably wouldn't be able to do anyway) or to just use some rune chainmail and medium helm so it wouldn't lower my ranging rating.. I was looking at some of the bonuses on the ranging armor and it's really not that much. The main thing that increases your ranging bonus is your bow and so I'm thinking about just using rune armor like I said before... and btw my crafting lvl is only 30 so that doesn't help either. so... I just want some opinions from you guys do you think this is a good or bad idea?
October 18, 200619 yr well, if you are just ranging, you should just wear full green dragonhide, power ammy, maybe rune med helm if you want to... but eventually i do suggest completing dragon slayer. Noted raw mackerel drop... Wtfh? Always buying: Watermelon seeds, 2K each. Strawberry seeds, 800 each. Contact Via PM on forums.
October 18, 200619 yr i think its like a +5 boost for, att, str, def, and maybe range and mage? "Boredom got me playing, Boredom stops me from playing. It's a vicious cycle."
October 18, 200619 yr You might as well do Dragon Slayer..... ^Sir Jem 05-The Bunny Drinking Blog?^ Click it!
October 18, 200619 yr Without looking, I'd say Power is +6 to all forms of attack and all defence , can't remember the strength... It's the best F2P ranger amulet. Other rigouts that would be usable as a F2P ranger: Coif, Studded leather body, Green dragonhide legs and vambs, normal boots & cape (the best non-Dragonslayer ranger kit). If you already have 40 defence, then going for full green is probably worthwhile, espicially if you play your true position in the combat triangle and go after mages... if being melee'd back, then rune chain is probably better. One problem, if you are a dedicated ranger, Dragon slayer on an F2P ranger means using the weedy crossbow & bronze bolts, unless there's a reliable dragonfire-proof safespot left.
