ever since ive had this PC ive had a strange problem with my internet.

 

 

 

Somtimes when im on websites my internet will suddenly stop working, but if im on an IRC channel it will remain connected and cant connect to anything or search any websites untill i reset my computer.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

this will happen about 3 times a day and occur for a about 5 continuous days every month. Ive already checked for sypware (autochecked every week for about a year now) and found nothing, same with viruses

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Any ideas on what the problem is?

Some dial-up internets do that.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I use to have peoplepc and it disconnected every 4 hours, in use or not.

thats not what he meant - he can talk to people on mIRC but it won't let him load any web pages.
