Not horrible... but just really, REALLY cheap games in lieu of $40 games we want(They actually ask us then come up with lame excuses, like, they ran out. Oh right millions of people are trying to buy a game that has been in production for 3 years, wow. Trust me are a line of people waiting for a Warcraft battle chest 3 years after initial production...If you're not going to buy it shut your mouth and don't ask at all.). I was severely offended when I saw that on the PSAT. To me, it says, 'Since Blacks are dumber than some other races, we have to give them an advantage'. This seems racist to me, but all my Black(not all from Africa or all in America) friends, or part Black friends were delighted as this boost. As my 1/8 Black friend said, "I will put my primary race as black because I feel my pride for being African American". Then he laughed and said, "and because it will help my college application." Although it doesn't seems to cause an outrage among my friends, I still think this is extremely offensive to the intelligence of Blacks, instilling in school students that Blacks are dumber than other races and they need to extra help. Should we the next generation grow up thinking, "I'm (some race) and am therefore naturally smarter than black people."? I'm not sure if this is the opinion of others, but to me, that is what it seems to say, and although I may be ignorant of some other issue for this, I'm already starting to hear elementary school students shun their peers of different colors with mildly hostile jokes(I pick up my brother after school since it is so close to mine.). Of course, I don't attend the school so I'm unsure of the whole story. I believe the scholarship should benefit the poor(people who do not have the same opportunities as we do), not a certain race, I just don't get it. Maybe you all can enlighten me.

Well I think that Earth will survive this, as this seems to happen every some years, but if we don't survive... Well it wasn't meant to be. But I don't have much knowledge in this subject to make a definite decision.

Thanks for the advice, I'll look into it and see what I can do. I have heard from my friends all they do in peer tutoring is goof off and get "credit" for nothing, but I'll try it out. There is probably at least ONE person who actually cares about what they're doing.

I was wondering whether there was some kind of free essay grading site where I could improve my essays and possibly APUSH DBQs. I tried to find it on google but it just gave me tips on how to write essays whereas I want actual feedback. When I try to grade my own essays, I have a biased view. Meaning I know my essays suck but don't know how to improve them, that is why I require feedback. So if anyone knows of such sites or services, can you please post for not only my benefit but for others who may need help on essays.

Did you hear about that one dumb [wagon] in Japan (maybe Korea) that committed suicide after playing WOW (or was it just warcraft?) for 32 hours straight? So are you saying you're taking this seriously?

Well I couldn't find anything on search so I made this. I have found several studies where music is a distraction to studying because of multi-tasking. This decreases the depth of which material is analyzed and comprehended. However, other studies show music prolongs the attention span of which people will continuing studying, by using music as a pleasure device. So do you think studying with music is better or without? Outside information is welcomed :D

Well, I think I'm leaning a bit on the Creative Zen side as opposed to the iPod. Does anyone have good websites where they have a comparison between different Creative Zens and another between comparisons of different iPods(Pretty familiar with iPod vid, nano, mini, etc. so not really needed).

So basically Christmas is coming up(in 2 months) and I'm thinking of getting some kind of portable media player for my Christmas present. I've done some really shallow research on Creative Zen and iPod, and I have no idea what to get. So post your opinion and recommend a good portable media player. Preferred: FM Radio (don't have many favorites right now) Able to acquire from retail stores (not eBay and other online) Durability (how long it lasts before I have to buy a new one, not including intentional damage, i.e. throwing it on the floor) I won't be watching videos on it so don't really need that feature. ARG!!! I can't think of anymore. Yes it's pathetic. If you have any thing to add onto it just post or pm. Also, since this is the ONLY time of the year I get a gift, unless I get a 4.00 GPA unweighted or get into the top 1% in the PSAT(you can probably guess my race), if not a portable media player, what should I get for a Christmas present. If there really was no ADULT INTERFERENCE, I think it would be somewhat like Lord of the Flies. I don't think you can die directly because of lack of sleep. You will just eventually fall asleep, no matter how hard you try not to. Yeah after about 6-7 days of sleep deprivation your body will just collapse of sheer exhaustion, I don't think you can actually die.
