I thought the best way was to drop the nukes. Not only will a long invasion use up precious resources, but casultaties on both sides will be high. Why? Japanese civilians were told Americans take in and torture POW and civilians. This caused mass suicide. That's why there are kamikaze pilots. They thought they were really protecting their country from these "Americans". That's why when Americans invade, they find loads of dead Japanese civilian bodies. All this propaganda. The better question to be asked is, was it worth using the atom bombs on the two cities, compared to mass invasion of Japan. Ending the war as quick as possible with the fewest amount of casualties is something to be proud of, although I'm unsure if atom bombing was for the best.

There are different strains of AIDS? I throught it was simply advanced HIV. Is it like the flu? My bad. I confused AIDS with HIV. This statement still applies, except change AIDS to HIV. If they could stop it from replicating, I would consider that a cure, considering it can do no further damage. ~Defender~ I read in a book it's possible to cure HIV. Once you get infected, you take the prescription for HIV patients, if given soon enough, it can slow down the replication of HIV and your body's immune system will be able to wipe out all the HIV before it hides in your cells, or at least give a damn good start in the war. Remember, soon enough is usually when you are exposed(not sure about the time period), so if you take it like a week or two later, you're stuck with it. Still not sure if this'll actually work.

The AIDS virus changes/mutates too fast for humans, so far, to develop a vaccine for it. To get a cure or vaccine for it, we must identify "exactly" what strain of AIDS virus we are dealing with, and then give the cure. Unfortunately, we have no way to completely kill viruses, we can slow the growth with anti-virals though, so we're quite a while away from an cold, much less an AIDS cure/vaccine.

Actually at 1 point in time, coca cola did put cocaine in their drinks, making people addictive to it. Also, I believe caffiene has some addictive element too it as well. ~Defender~ Coca Cola put cocaine in their drink as a trademark. It put barely any, so I doubt you couldn't be addicted to it.
