General Guide: Capes of Achievement

Recommended Posts

Hello Rune Tips

I was just looking in your Capes Of Acheivement section and noticed that you were missing information that some people might find useful.

It does not mention at all what happens if you have one skill cape and you gain 99 in another skill and what happens to get the first cape trimmed

This is what the RuneScape Help Centre has to say:

Dear Jagex,

I was just wondering whether when you have one Cape Of Acheviement (Skill Cape), lets say in Woodcutting, and you gain 99 in another skill, say fletching, do you have to buy the 1st Skill Cape (Woodcutting) to make it trimmed or does it automatically change?

I would greatly appreciate an answer,

Dear Scorpus57,

Thank you for contacting RuneScape Customer Support regarding skill capes.

If you have a skill cape and then gain another you would need to drop the first cape and then buy another for that cape to be trimmed.

Hope this answers your query.

Don't forget to use the RuneScape Knowledge Base to find the answer to your queries quicker.

You can also find help on all free player and all new member quests through the QuestHelp system.

Yours Sincerely

Mod Zach

I think you should add some article on this

Thanks

[Adamskii Edit: We maybe able to add something, but unfortunately that information is incorrect. When you are wearing an achievement cape (un-trimmed) and you achieve another 99 skill, the cape becomes automatically trimmed.]

EDIT: Interesting...because thats what Jagex said

Can a thieving cape owner confirm this?

You have the description of the Thieving cape all wrong... It's a money bag that appears on your back, and you bend over and toss coins over your shoulders into the bag. The coins are very light and hard to see, but they surely are there.

Your skill cape for thieving is still wrong... the emote actually has a money bag on the back of the character, then it picks some pockets and throws coins over his/her shoulders into the money bag

I AM the owner of a thieving cape.

[pokemama 27 April: no offence was intended. I was intrigued by your description and anxious to find out if what you saw was universal, as folks have been rather disappointed in the emote. However, several players have studied it hard and don't see what you are seeing. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?p=4471391#4471391 Perhaps Jagex will eventually see the light and fix the emote up nicer. Thanks for wanting to help.]
