How do you make your own skin, background thing? I'm trying to get a picture in the background but I can't figure out how.

3. oh and every time I try to put a banner up it says this "Template->make_filename(): Error - file admin/board_config_banner_body.tpl does not exist"

You need to edit the tpl files. Look in the PHPBB documentation that came with your download or look on the knowledge base on http://www.phpbb.com

It's going to be tough for a novice.

For the background image, you put a link in there, e.g., you just uploaded an image to ImageShack, you put the direct link to that image (.jpg/.png/.gif/etc).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

As for the others, you use colour hex codes, here, use this website:

You just need the part were it goes something along the lines of #CDC9C9

If you cheated and used a free website to make your forum then you cant do it.
