Emanick1
Hi, I'm just wondering if I can have some help with the Swan Song quest. :) I'm only level 76. I have the following stats: 64 Attack 59 Strength 57 Defense 62 HP 60 Range 75 Mage 57 Prayer I have the option of using any weapon that has an attack requirement of 60 and below (obviously; that means no whips, DH axes, or other rubbish  ), besides a Dragon Scimmy (I haven't beaten the quest yet, but don't call me a noob, I have 6 left counting both of these =P~ ), and a Dragon 2H (because I don't have the cash, although a month ago that would have been no problem #-o ). Can I do the quest? If so, what weapon should I use? I've decided on Proselyte armor, because it has easily the best prayer bonus in the game, but if you have any other suggestions, please say \ . I'd also like a rough estimate on the difficulty of the final battle. I've heard it's really easy, but also that your prayer is drained extremely fast; so fast it disappears in like 8 seconds. I don't care about spoilers; I always read the quest guide through several times before doing a major quest anyway. Please help me ASAP, since I plan to do it tomorrow. Thanks! :
Clay2
I suggest you wear Red D hide because proselytes won't help you. What happens is when you attack her, and you put on a protection spell she sends out two bubble thingies that sap your prayer each by 30ish. I suggest first using a super set , takking DDS and going in and spec'ing her 4 times then whip out Scimmy and just fight like crazy. Watch out because she can easily hit 20, and does some numerous times, so bring the best food you can get, at least sharks.
Emanick1
No offense, but I'm not sure I believe you. I watched a video, and none of the things you mentioned happened. Also, I'm not willing to risk my full Red DHide, since it took me an hour to get and there's a large possibility that I'll die during this battle. I'm not sure I can get it back the same way, even. Oh, and didn't I say I couldn't use a D Scimmy??? =; Edit: Okay, so she uses the prayer draining spell, but only once. After that, it shouldn't be a problem. :| And I don't mind fighting two or three battles, dying multiple times, even, because each time I get back there she'll be lower on hp, and proselyte (if I use it instead of Red Dhide) is cheap, as well as the fact that I'll keep my D weapons. \
Clay2
No, if you leave or die, when you come back you go through the sequence again and she is back to full health. Also, even if you use p pots, she keeps draining your health. No offense, but don't you think I would know considering I did the quest?
Clay2
However, considering you magic level, you might just want to Fire Wave it, though I'd still suggest you DDS it just to get those couple etra poison hits in.
Emanick1
Thanks. I suppose I'll try both ways and try out the feel of it before I go in there. You're not convincing me to part with my Red DHide though! :o :shame: Thanks for the help, though. I don't want to put any more drains on your time, but what do you mean, "she continues to drain health"? Do you mean prayer? I've watched a video on YouTube 5 or 6 times, and the prayer-draining was only at the very beginning. The Protect from Magic took care of the rest. =; I'm sorry if I didn't trust you, but there must be some kind of discrepancy here. That video obviously wasn't a fake, but the prayer-draining only happened in the beginning of the fight. Hmmm... :-k Hard to puzzle out. I suppose I'll just have to take my chances in the fight. A few odd pieces of addy-equivalent armor, a dozen or two sharks, and a few dozen blood runes can't be missed, what what? :D
