October 28, 200619 yr Ok, was quite good brushing practice. Anyways, here it is. I think I did quite good brushing/smudging on the part that seems to be radiating off the tomato. The upper left is to fuzzy and to much of blur. How should I fix this? (*Is hoping Cad --The smudging master-- will answer this one*) Also, what font is that little white one people often stroke with black that is normaly a subquote/quote? EDIT: Now that I look at it, on the left side... eww. How do I get rid of that low quality feel? October 28, 200619 yr (Im not sure if you needed my oppinion...) Personally I dont like the right part, I think it would look better without transparancy. Also, what font is that little white one people often stroke with black that is normaly a subquote/quote? That font is called the 'Visitor Font' (I have visitor TT2 BRK) and can be downloaded at http://www.dafont.com. EDIT: Now that I look at it, on the left side... eww. How do I get rid of that low quality feel? Maybe save it as JPEG or JPG, maybe that helps. [http://woopidoo2.deviantart.com][Tip.it Moderator from Dec 10, 2006 to 03 Sep, 2008]
October 28, 200619 yr Author Thanks woopidoo2 :) Actually I value your opinion quite highly. "We'll bring the sexy back to judging >_>." --Nadril Bleh, once I get off my lazy bum and go to Imageshack, there will be a picture here.
October 28, 200619 yr Use the sharpen tool to get rid of the bluriness, or just erase that part and do it again. Overall I'd say it's a bit too simple, maybe add some more detail to the background or make the tomato into some crazy manip.
October 28, 200619 yr Thanks woopidoo2 :) Actually I value your opinion quite highly. Just want to avoid beeing flamed like:  Did I ask for your oppinion? :) [http://woopidoo2.deviantart.com][Tip.it Moderator from Dec 10, 2006 to 03 Sep, 2008]
October 28, 200619 yr Author Thanks woopidoo2 :) Actually I value your opinion quite highly. Just want to avoid beeing flamed like:  Did I ask for your oppinion? :) Hah, ya I see that alot around here. I get where you are coming from. And pyro, I'll try that. Thanks. October 28, 200619 yr Author Bleh I started liking the Tomato sig ess and less. So I made this. Suprisingly I think its one of my best yet. And seeing that I am not very good, thats saying something. Any ideas of what I should do with the text? Doesn't look very good. :? October 28, 200619 yr For the tomato sig, what's that random pink splotch just a bit above the text? Also, if the smudge around the tomato's outter layer is radiating like you said, you should try blending that more with the tomato render. For the sig you just posted above, text-wise. I'd recommend using simple fonts, then duplcating the text layer, place them a bit out of line of the original text layer then lower the opacity and maybe even change the blending option to overlay, screen or lighten (varys on the sig, personal preference).

October 28, 200619 yr Author Thanks! EDIT: Heres the newer version. "We'll bring the sexy back to judging >_>." --Nadril Bleh, once I get off my lazy bum and go to Imageshack, there will be a picture here.
October 28, 200619 yr Thanks! EDIT: Heres the newer version. It's kinda hard to read, try lowering the opacity on the text layer behind it or positioning it more closely, also, try this: New Layer -> Filter -> Blur -> Gaussian Blur -> 2px -> Set Layer to 'Lighten' -> Opacity to 50% New Layer -> Filter -> Sharpen -> Sharpen -> Set Layer to 'Lighten' -> Opacity to 70% Kinda makes it look more vibrant (imo), try a more simple font too by the way.
October 28, 200619 yr Author K I'll try that. I'll update this post when I am done. EDIT: Ok, did that. Didn't come out with the effect I think you meant though. "We'll bring the sexy back to judging >_>." --Nadril Bleh, once I get off my lazy bum and go to Imageshack, there will be a picture here.
October 28, 200619 yr My result was more like... Compared to yours.. Was just in my opinion, looked more vibrant.
October 28, 200619 yr Author Did ou save it as a JPG? Cause it looks like your version lost some quality. :? "We'll bring the sexy back to judging >_>." --Nadril Bleh, once I get off my lazy bum and go to Imageshack, there will be a picture here.

October 28, 200619 yr K I'll try that. I'll update this post when I am done. EDIT: Ok, did that. Didn't come out with the effect I think you meant though. The text should be placed a liiitle bit more to the left. You inspire me to make fruit manips :) [http://woopidoo2.deviantart.com][Tip.it Moderator from Dec 10, 2006 to 03 Sep, 2008]
October 28, 200619 yr Author Heh, thanks for the tip. I thought you quit minaping. EDIT: Got a font I liked and used the technique LM mentioned. And tada, I now have a new sig. Vibrant, just like I wanted. "We'll bring the sexy back to judging >_>." --Nadril Bleh, once I get off my lazy bum and go to Imageshack, there will be a picture here.
