i think that shortbow has more speed while longbow gives 1 more distance :P

There is no difference in accuracy, only speed and distance.

If you're pking use short, if you're training use short. To be honest longbow never really comes to be that useful.

You have not been in a situation where your victim tries to run away from you. Better use the both. keep both in inventory, while he runs away,. pull out your longbow. I actually learnt that here, in this tip it's guide to archery
