Skenderbeu
When I try to connect to Windows Messenger Live it Troubleshoots. Everysingle time. This has been happening for the last year and I have managed to do nothing about it. And when I buy World Of Warcraft "Burning Crusade" It's not gonna let me play it. Because there is something wrong with the Internet. It's like I don't even have an Internet Connection! I think it's my Firewall and Proxy Settings and hell I do not know a single thing about those. Except a little bit about Firewalls. I don't even know how to adjust my Proxy Settings. I have tried and tried to turn off my Firewall but when i try to turn it off it still stays on for some Reason. I have tried to go into the Adminstrator tools and I have clicked Services and tried to Stopp and shut down the Firewall from there but it still doesn't work. Something is very wrong with my computer and maybe you guys might know something about Firewalls and Proxy settings. If you do please try and help me i would be very very Greatful. My computer is useless if this carries on. I won't be able to do anything. By the way: I am able to logg in places such as Forums it doesn't say anything like "The page cannot be displayed" That used to happen but now i have gotten it fixed but I still hjave that other problem. And it's really buggin me. Please someone try and help and reply Thanks - Skenderbeu Computer Version: Windows XP Firewall: Windows Firewall. Nexus_Hishima
Make sure your firewall allows MSN to connect to the internet, find some settings for it and see if you can bring up a list of programs and it might say whether it lets it use the internet or not. I would reinstall MSN if you cant do anything along those lines. Your internet works for Explorer, or hopefully you use Firefox, but you can't access WoW or MSN, i think its a firewall problem whereby it isnt letting the programs have the internet. Thats as far as I go, very odd though. Best of luck. 80+ combat?join The Legacy today!http://z3.invisionfree.com/TL___The_Leg ... hp?act=idx
Skenderbeu
I have tried to get Firefox and when i downloaded it it says unable to connect to the Internet. ( Strange ) I do not know why this is happening to my computer. When i download a program that is related to Internet communication it always says Unable to connect and some other messages aswell. It's getting very annoying. And i have tons of PC games at home but i can't play them because of this problem. If someone knows how to solve this problem please do post. Make it simple. Thanks - Skenderbeu
runesmithie
Do what the previous poster suggested and check your firewall settings, that seems the likely problem. I just posted something! ^_^ to the terrorist...er... kirbybeam.
Liquid_Morph
Start -> Control Panel -> Security Center -> Windows Firewall -> Advanced -> Restore Defaults (under Default Settings area) It should reset your firewall and then ask you all over again if you want to block/unblock programs such as MSN, AIM, ICQ, Online Games, etc... Also, if that doesn't work, try resetting your Router or turn it of and on. If not, ring your ISP. If they say there ok, a re-format may be in order? :?
