Blossom Adventures on Kandarin

Featured Replies

This story is fictional and im only using my name for it, im not really this good lol ( :boohoo: )

She crouched behind the staggering stalacamite pointing from the rocky cave floor. Each footstep she heard was like a thousand shades stabbing her in the heart.

"You cannot hide form me" echoed a familiar voice. She crawled quickly around the side of the stalacamite.

"Traitors dont get away with their actions." Still crouching, she side stepped along the shadowy wall.

"I have an idea" Silently she pulled an arrow from her quiver.

"Its called hide an seek. ill count to 5, and kill you..." She heard the voice chuckle. An ear piercing chuckle. Holding her fire, her eyes adjusted to the gloomy darkness as her eyes lay on the killer.

"one.."

She pulled the bow to her face.

"two.."

She pulled back the bowstring.

"Five!"

At this moment, the young warrior woman didnt know what hit her. Her spine tingled and her wepon fell to the gorund as an earth bolt blew her in the gut. She looked up and saw the cave wall rumbling. She grabbed her bow infront of her and rolled out into the middle of the cavern path just before the falling rocks crushed her. Staring down on her, stodd Euthadorr, a Saradomin mage. He smiled evily and grabbed her arm. Staring back at the face that haunted her, She winced at his grip tightening around her shoulder.

"We had an agreement." His voice was calm, but frightening to her.

"Let go of me." She spat in his face, "I want nothing to do with you people." She pulled her arm out of his grip. Stand up from the cave floor, he stepped back and looked into the outdoor light behind her opponent.

"Traitors dont get away with their actions." He smiled.

"Let me be. I haven't done anything wrong-"

"-Yet" he cut in. "You may be a girl, but i will never underestimate you, and.. dont take that as a compliment" he hissed.

"Oh im horribly frightened." The warrior rolled her eyes. "Listen old man. You may be a preist, and I may be a traitor, and i dont care if you were once my tutor. All i say now is, get out of my way. I wouldn't want to have to start a fight" she smiled. Surprisingly, The monk stepped to the side of the cave wall. Just to be sure, she held her grip firmly on the sword in its slot.

Walking slowly past him, she looked out to the light of the cavern.

Then, the next series of events happened quite fast, for the preist, and this warrior. First, she heard a faint sound, a familiar but fast sound, the sound of sliding metal, much like when a sword is removed from its slot. Then from nowhere, she found her sword unsheathed too, and in an attack position. If you would be standing beside, watching these two people, you would barely have enough time to register what had happened.

In a few seconds, she has spun around and was using her sword to defend herself against the Euthadorr's, which he had highly in the air, pushing down on her as if to slice. She chuckled as they held their position.

"Always be on guard.. Thats the first rule you taught me."

The monk relaxed his sword and returned it to its slot. You have learnt well. I will look forward to fighting you in the future. He held his hands together and bowed. Still watchinhg him, she bowed back.

"Blossom, the king requests your presence. He is waiting in the throne room."

"Thank you squire. I shall meet him soon." Blossom folded and laid the last of her robes out on the bed. She removed her dragon hide and slipped on some cool blue robes. Walking quickly down the staircase, she emerged herself in the throne room, standing before the king, who was pacing in front of his throne.

"Blossom! you are here. I must say, that was an amazing job you did in the caves yesterday! Not only did you obtain the Talisman, but you escape completely unharmed!" Blossom thought about her ankle when the rocks fell from the wall and when the monk dug his nails into her shoulder. "Oh yes completely unharmed" she thought.

"Now i know you dont think that i brought you down here just to congratualte you, and you are right. Please, take a seat." He gestured to a bench along the walls of the throne room.

"Now i realise that since your conversion.."

"No! Just shut up!" She couldnt take it after all the misjudgements beforehand in previous events.

"Blossom please listen.."

"No you listen! I have served this city and these knigths for many years now, and may have become one of the greatest warriors of Kandarin. But just because i have changed my ways from Saradomin, I should not have to lose that honor! Now fire me if you will but i am tired of people thinking im evil or deceitful just because i have resorted to being a Zamorakien!"

All was silent in the hall.

"Blossom im.. Im so sorry. I dont mean to do this to you, but.."

"Just say it you coward. Fire me. I dare you" Really inside she felt the fear bubbling in her gut.

"No Blossom, i would never want to, and i dont want this to happen either but.. You've been put on a transfer. Just one mission. But you'll have to leave Ardougne and Kandarin to succeed."

Blossom gasped. She loved adventure, but nothing had brought her to leave the kingdom of Kandarin, the kingdom of her home. The king watched her face as the colour on her cheeks started to fade.

"This is an order. no matter how much you, or myself and the fmaous kandarin knights, dislike it. Now go and prepare. you are expected to leave immmediately."

Blossom stared into the kings eyes. He felt like a father to her. Yet, nonetheless, she must follow orders. She slowly made her way back up the spiral stairway and back to the sleeping quarters.

As she entered her room, she looked around at all of the things that made her feel like home, no matter where she was. Her bow, Trusty to her all these years. Her sword, like a part of her, which had never let her down. Then she looked over to her bed, where a relatively new item lay. Her staff. With the strong symbol of Zamorak placed proudly at the top, the few days she had owned it, it still did her well. But as she thought about what had helped her, she saw in the corner of her eye, a box. A dusty old box that had sat in that corner of the room for years. Calling her to open once again. But Blossom had held in. She couldnt let the prescence of what lay inside distract her form the duties of a Kingdom Knight. But she had cracked. Slowly she made her way towards the old wooden box and lifted the lid. She blew the dust away and poked around inside until she felt for what she was looking for. Her hands gripped the sides of the cool maple frame. A small painting, but valuble, to Blossom anyway. The painting was of her family, or what she called her family.

Blossom was a mystery child when she was young. An unknown child. For when she was the age of a small baby child, she was left at the step of a young marrried couple, who took her in lovingly. The father, of course, was a true knight of the Kingdom of Kandarin. Blossom would come to the castle, and learnt to fight after observing her father's amazing battle styles. For she was a curious young girl then, she may have wandered, and admiringly would watch the archers shoot bullseyes with blindfolds on. Then, one night in the middle of a terrible, but mysterious war between West and East Ardougne, Blossom was sent to the castle under the supervision of the king while her father went to fight. Her mother had to stay in their small city house. Yet when Blossom awoke the next morning to see her mother at home, the king would not let her leave. But then, he let no-one out of their houses for the next week. After days of anxiously waiting to go out into sunlight, the citizens saw a peculiar thing. There was an enormous wall around the sides of West Ardougne. When BLossom asked where her mother was, the only thing he could tell her, was that she was caught by a plauge from the west ardougne side. And that everybody that fought either died from battle, or from sickness.

Blossom felt a tear dribble down the side of her face as her lip trembled. She stood up, trying to make her mind from the picture, and began packing her supplies.

Oh lol and what is the name of the thng that swords go into at the side of your belt? lol i oculdnt remeber so i just called it a slot :P

The characters have a pesky problem of revealing massive amounts of background information in unnatural sentences.

I don't know, it looked good to me.

I thought the fight was detailed, and I like the characters so far.

I like this story, it has a good background, a knight (is she a knight?) being forced to convert from Saradomin to Zamorak. Or at least, thats what it seems like to me. Anyway, I hope to see more of this, you are obviously a talented writer. =D>

Just one thing, would she really say:

"Just say it you coward. Fire me. I dare you." to a king?

Good luck Katie, I might try to write something of my own - my novel is still somewhere on my comp, untouched for a fair while.

Try to space it out, and don't try to make it mysterious, the responder still needs to have a fair idea of what is happening. And don't feel the need for many consecutive joining words, short and simple can work well in many situations.
