Bufoman
well im wrighting this now after seing threads that have been locked now for over a week and have not been removed. these are not the locked for cleaning types of threads, these are the locked becouse its the wrong area ect... well I reely dont like seing locked threads just sitting their for weeks on end on the front page. and in clan recrutement center I had my thread removed once (which I intended to bump but was being polite to all the other threads) to save space. well theirs plenty of lockd threads on their so why cant they be romoved instead? the_tallest1
I agree with you about the locked threads cluttering up the first few pages of a board. I know that for the general boards at least the locked topics are cleaned off after they hit the second page. The reasoning is that the poster will need a bit of time to check back and see that the topic has been locked so they won't post again thinking it just disappeared. As far as some of the other boards are concerned I think this would best be directed to the moderators assigned to those boards, but generally the locked topics should be removed after a certain period in order to reduce the clutter. 571st to 99 Fm Nov. 4 '06 - 315th to 99 Crafting Mar. 3 '07 - 3410th to 99 Fishing Sept. 18 '0726378th to 99 Cooking Oct. 16 '07 -.- 99 Thieving Dec. 29 '07 - 1343rd to 99 Farming June 5 '081807th to 99 Agility Nov. 8 '08 - 3094th to 99 Smithing Feb. 14 '092012 total - 91 combat
Ard_Choille
Thanks for posting! In some cases, topics are locked because a question has been answered, an issue resolved, or a gallery work completed. If a locked thread remains, it may be so others can still search the contents in order to use the information. Additionally, some may remain so newer users can see the sorts of topics to NOT post. The high-traffic forums are cleaned of locked threads on a regular basis. Beyond that, please feel free to contact the moderators listed at the top of the forum for more details...as Tallest stated above. - Ard - - My deviantART Page - -
