Laptop fans

Featured Replies

Ok, I recently cleaned the area of the fans with a blow off duster..now when I start up the laptop, the fans do not start until about 3-5 mins after startup.......and all the fans are not on all the time..

Is this good/bad?

Thanks :)

I would assume that's normal, as my laptop fan only runs when the insides get too hot.

yea the other guy is right... if before you cleaned it they ran all the time it probably was because they couldn't cool it enough so they had to blow constantly. But now that they are clean they only have to blow enough to cool it down

aww man, my notebook fans would start for like 10 minutes but now as soon as it turns on it has the fans going.

Clean them and it will improve apparently

all fans that run via on board sensors will stop when not needed.. especially on laptops for power control.
