i cant kill a cave crawler !! HELP

yes, my stats:

 

 

 

3 attack

 

 

 

1 strength

 

 

 

42 defense

 

 

 

27 hits

 

 

 

1 prayer, magic, range

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

and I'm trying to do this slayer task of killing 44 cave crawlers, I've killed one cave crawler but had to use super strength and attack potions and i don't particularly want to get my attack and strength up, and it wont let me change slayer task, at least, i don't know how, its Blurthorpe isn't it ?

I suggest you raise your strength to at least 5 or use a poisoned weapon if possible. otherwise you will have to rely on pots to complete this or any other assignment in slayer. also, are you sure you are killing the right thing? you might think it is a stupid question but I was asked to come rescue someone from a beast that wouldn't die. His assignment was cave bugs and he was hitting cave slugs instead! you have to have salt to kill those or they won't die.

you cant change tasks from those, u can only change high lvl slayer tasks, anything that the burthrope guy doesnt assign.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

also if your aimin for pure def slayer is out of the question, sorry, slayer by definition requires being capable of slaying, not taking a hit.

i was just using a poisoned iron dagger and supers, and i only managed to kill 1, its health regenerated too quickly

You really just can't do this... what's the point of a pure defence? If you don't want attack/strength, raise mage or range and try attacking with that. You could train mage with spells that don't get hitpoints and you wouldn't gain any hitpoints, but you could use mage to train slayer.
