You posted this in "General H&A"

Are you trying to ask the community for some advice?

It's not clear what your posting goal is...

If you are looking for advice, then I suggest chopping Willows.

You can chop south of Rimmington if you want some peace and quiet.

You can sell to the nearby store to unload the logs.

Or, chop south of Draynor if you want to bank the logs.

I'm sure there are a lot of other places just as good, if not better.

Finally, consider this: generally speaking, the "mid-level"

activities are usually the best way to gain "fast" experience.

High level activities are best for money but not for fast exp.

So, if I wanted to raise mining I would mine Iron instead of Addy or Runite ore.

If I wanted to raise woodcutting I would chop Willow instead of Yew.

If I wanted to raise fishing I would fly fish instead of shark, swordfish, or lobster.

Hope this helps

well im not trying to be sarcy, well maybe i am you never know but...

generally cutting trees until you reach a certain level works, does it not? then once your that level move to a different type of tree, why all the mathmatical mumbo jumbo.

the name "wood cutting" kind of gives my point away, cut trees and your level goes up, then what i said before..... better trees, better exp so once your the level to cut that kind of tree, just cut it. why "1k oak" and all that?

MMORPG - Many Men Online Role Playing Girls - LOL, but how true?

Oh and none of the people you see online saying "looking for bf" are girls. Statistics I make up don't lie. - HA!

Ive quit enough times to quit again and be garunteed im guna be bribed back, totally worth it ;) until next month anyway

so once your the level to cut that kind of tree, just cut it. why "1k oak" and all that?

Yews are terribly slow at level 60 woodcutting, even at level 70+, willows are faster if you're going for experience.

- Np Tyler

ok, thats understandable.... cut willows til 70 wc, i need no maths for that, give your brain a rest lol

Yes, but very slowly

then once your that level move to a different type of tree,

If your goal is to get money then yes, that would work, eventually.

If your goal is to get money as quickly as possible then you shouldn't change to the next tree right away.

If your goal is to level fast then you should stay with fast mid-level trees.

...why all the mathmatical mumbo jumbo.

Sigh, you know I never used a single number in my previous post...

the name "wood cutting" kind of gives my point away,

What point?

This is the General Help and Advice forum.

Are you asking the community to comment on your plan for raising Woodcutting?

Would you like suggestions on where to chop?

Or maybe suggestions on what to do with the logs you get?

...cut trees and your level goes up, then what i said before.....better trees, better exp

Better exp per tree, yes, but not per minute spent cutting.

so once your the level to cut that kind of tree, just cut it. why "1k oak" and all that?

It all depends on why you are bothering to raise your woodcutting skill.

If you want to raise it so you can chop yew and make good money then

I presume that you would like to be enjoying that money sooner rather than later.

So, you need to be aware of efficient ways of chopping.

Things like Exp per log chopped, average number of chops per log, location of certain trees, bank locations, etc.

You can certainly chop the way that you suggest, but Jagex designed Runescape

to make more valuable things (Yew, Addy, etc) slower to get than cheaper things.

So you may find yourself becoming frustrated with the slow pace of getting logs.

(I have level 80 woodcutting btw)

Hope this helps

you sound like someone who puts alot of thought into everything you do.... i find it impossible to do that.

ill try a few different methods, generally swinging an axe at a tree works but the whole banking time xp per log..... why bother? sooner or later your going to suddenly find a way to make millions then blow it all on a single item.... so instead of figuring out all the maths and techno stuff behind it why not just walk about a bit, try a few different places and do it all your self? unless you did that to get to 80 wc? if you did then well done

if not.... why? it takes the fun out of the game if everything is set.

each and every person playes differently i know but, i just dont see the attraction in doing everything in a set way. using calcs n what-not. my wc is only.... what ever it is because i wanted to talk to a friend and because my members ran out, got 20k willows over how ever long did a few things in the mean time and went about my normal ways

if there were willows or trees in the wildy, just to find out how efficent it was, id try.. just because then i know that is a bad method so i dont have to question it..... man im bored of typing and thinking now lol

Well, at higher levels it just takes forever to make a level,

so you tend to learn how to do it efficiently.

For example, to efficiently make my next mining level requires me to mine about 9600 iron ore.

...sooner or later your going to suddenly find a way to make millions

Well, if I do a little bit of reading on Tip It and other places then I can learn

about smart things to do and make that "suddenly" happen a lot sooner...

then blow it all on a single item....

Unless you're the guy selling the item...

...so instead of figuring out all the maths and techno stuff behind it why not

just walk about a bit, try a few different places and do it all your self?

Yeah, well I guess that it all comes down to how you enjoy playing the game.

My play time is very limited so I tend to want to make the most of my time.

unless you did that to get to 80 wc? if you did then well done

Ty.

if not.... why? it takes the fun out of the game if everything is set.

Well, for me, I wanted to get combat level 100 and level 75+ in all of my skills (F2P)

I still have to do Prayer and Runecrafting.

each and every person playes differently i know but, i just dont see the attraction in doing everything in a set way.

Yes, each of us can play in the way that pleases us.

...if there were willows or trees in the wildy...

Hey, did you know that there are exactly 23 Yew trees in the F2P world?

(sorry)

Cheers

haha, i like you lol

hope this answered the first post because if it hasnt theres been one whole load of spam ^.^

nice to hear other peoples views every now and then

and good luck on getting all your f2p stats to 75 =) my goal is to get all the ones i can to 60, crafting to 80 and combat.... well that comes with slayer which raise alot when im bored =D
