  1. That's a solid, mid-range build you've got, although like others, I'd recommend a Corsair PSU. Even the 400W one should power your build, and it's sleeved as well. As far as the processor goes, that one has an unlocked multiplier and sometimes can run four cores. As indy500fan stated, 1TB is a lot of room, and unless your cousin has a lot of movies or disc backups, it might be overkill. BTW, XP mode is nowhere near as satisfying as installing a real version of XP on a second partition if you need it. Chances are, though, that you won't, since only really old games aren't in 32 or 64-bit format, and Windows 7 runs pretty much anything modern. Another thing in regards to the case: Cable management without space behind the motherboard tray might be a real pain. You'd be better off saving some money from the other parts and buying a Cooler Master HAF 922 or CM690 or something like that. Besides that, the case you chose would have horrible airflow, and your parts need it to stay cool.
  2. I used AutoHotkey to remap a keyboard combo to change the volume on my laptop after I broke the media touch buttons... That's my recommendation, found here.
  3. I put an AMD 945 in my computer I built in August, and while it's great, looking back I might have just got this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103680 That's a dual-core processor, but can sometimes be unlocked to four cores, like the triple-core you've got on your list. By the way, you probably don't need any Arctic Silver thermal paste. Since you have the 770T-UD3P in your list, I take it you don't plan on putting dual graphics cards in eventually. Besides that, everything looks pretty good. It's very similar to the one I built, actually.
  4. That's a dual-core 3.1Ghz AMD processor, 4GB of RAM, a 640GB hard drive, and a very capable graphics card. The Callisto processor also can be unlocked to run on four cores in some instances. One thing to consider is a new DirectX 11 graphics card from ATI, or wait for nVidia to release theirs. The difference isn't much, though. Overall, it's a very good computer with a 22" monitor for $850.
  5. It's not that the general policy ideas are terrible; socialized health care could be a good thing, but I don't think many of our government officials are competent to make it work well. Concerning less dire issues like same-sex marriage and perhaps abortion, I think Obabma is right in not bringing those front and center and instead focusing on more important issues, even if he may be wrong about them. And, with military issues, the focus seems to be in Afghanistan, and I've been getting mixed messages about his wishes for the conflict there and in Iraq. On the whole, I didn't expect much from Obama, and I haven't and don't think anything great will come. Hopefully nothing devastating doesn't happen, either.
  6. You've got to do the math yourself: Total exp./total hours = Exp./hour
  7. They're a treasure trail reward, heal 1-3hp, and restore 10% of your energy.
  8. Why don't you just install it? It doesn't mean you're a suspected pirate, and apparently it is necessary to receive non-critical updates.
  9. Maybe updating Internet Explorer would help, if you aren't up to date. Other than that, there might be a way to block everything from advertising.com so that the (I'm assuming) particular ad ever loads.
  10. I would imagine you could just right click (My) Computer, select Manage, go to Disk Management, shrink the existing external HDD volume, and make a new partition. I'm not sure how the Wii handles external hard drives and files, so you might want to format the new partition, or not...
  11. Umm... This doesn't relate directly to your question, but you might look into buying a desktop and a netbook/cheaper laptop. If you are planning on taking your computer with you to school everyday, a bulky Alienware would be a little much, and the battery life would likely be terrible after several months. Anyway, that's always an option, one that I wish I would have put more thought into.
  12. To anyone out there buying a computer... don't get anything with integrated Intel graphics. Choose one with a dedicated card, or at least integrated nVidia. My laptop, even with 4gb of ram and a Core 2 Duo, has trouble with RuneScape HD (not to mention real games) because it only has integrated graphics. The computer manufacturer has little to do with the performance. The hardware is basically the same.
  13. The first holiday event I was a part of was Christmas 2004. I remember running to Varrock when I heard that Santa was there, and being given a yoyo - no quest or anything. Some of the holiday quests now are too long, although this Easter one wasn't too bad.
  14. Yeah, I realize the name is a watermark/signature, but it's a little chunky and sloppy. I think the glowing spots add a lot to the signature. Maybe you could drop the opacity of the ones in the foreground so they're not so dominating.
  15. I generally use the lamp for prayer unless I want a piece of the particular outfit.
  16. Here are the results of my quick attempt:
  17. Can you save it as a .png? ...anyway, here's something:
  18. It's pretty cool. The tree on the left needs more work as far as smoothing the texture, and maybe sharpening the edges. Also, perhaps using a small font for your name would be better than drawing it. I like it, though.
  19. I have so many accounts... Now I feel bad about it, but it was fun to find cool names. One of my favorites is "One Half Man". I also have a couple random four-letter usernames.
  20. I made another one, but I like my first one better. This one was just for fun.
  21. For Animal Magik... URL: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v732/np_tyler/animalmagik.png
  22. You could use the tween tool if you wanted to go the easy route. Although this works, too. You also might want to make the text stay up for a second or two at full opacity.
  23. That looks pretty neat. It has a sort of abstract painting feel to it. Sometimes you get the best results when you don't really know what you're doing...
