Hi there, i'm thinking of comming back to rs, i stopped playing october last year, so there's about a year break. Before then i played since the early days of rs classic, with several 99 skills and most of the others in the high 80's.

 

 

 

There's a few questions i'd like to answer if the community wouldn't mind.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

-Has much changed in terms of the map getting bigger, i.e more places to explore in this last year?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

-(This might be bad, but this was one of the reason's i left), Is most of rs built of kids, and is there still a attitude problem in the game? (Please don't flame.)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

-Are there bot programs in the game now-a-days, back when i was playing there were bots left right and centre.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

-Is the general atmosphere of the game still going strong like it was?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

-I haven't read these forums yet, i had to create a new username as i've fogotten the last, is the community in the forums still nice, i.e. are there lots of flames, big headed people etc?)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

(Ok, i'm writting this next bit because i know some people may misinterpret my questions - please do not, please can people who have played for several years before a year ago (if that makes sense) reply, as there's no point people who have had the game a few months to reply.

to answer one, there are still tons of kids, not so many in the members worlds, but if you stick with tip.it youll be fine :) . And there are alot more for higher levels, fire cape, 99 skill capes, etc.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jagex kicked most of the bots, there are a few in the free worlds but not nearly as many as there were.

Well, i'll try and help, but i can't remeber what happened exactly a year ago, but i have been playing runescape and visiting this forum for a long time. :P

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In terms of the runescape map, i would say that it is a lot bigger and gone are the days were there was only one way or place to train the majority of skills.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Runescape hasn't really changed in that kids still play and kids are still immature, but you can't let them ruin it for you.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Can't really comment on the 'general atmosphere' of the game, i'm not really a big community player, prefer to play my own game.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Runescape section of this forum is MUCH better, there were some really annoying members who used to troll here, but thankfully have gone and left a very nice community.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Overall my advice is, it's just a game, play it if you want, you don't have to commit to anything.

The map has gotten alot bigger. And a few skill have been relased. The forums are one of the best runescape forums out there.

there are and always willl be flamers, anoying ppl, etc.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

there aren't that many bots or atleast I don't see them so it's not so bothersome.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But ofcourse there are also lots of good and respectful players and the game is still fun!

 

 

 

It has been expanding a lot and is still growing.

 

 

 

I for one would welcome anyone to start playing the game as long as you bring in a good spirit.

We should really do a guide with ALL major updates since release of RS2, I se these threads every day

Welcome back to RS and to Tip.It. There are more changes than could probably be listed easily but a really good way to get a feel for what has changed is to read through the old News Items on the RuneScape website. That will be kind of a highlight reel of everything that has been done in the last 2+ years. After that you might try skimming the Beginner's Guide on this site. As for the community aspects I'll leave that up to others to give better answers. :mrgreen:
