Hey, quick question for you guys - If your sig meets the size requirements, but its is over 30kb, how do you get it down? Thanks.

Change it's type, if it's Bmp or Png put it in Jpg, it's lighter I think

Lol - This is my first sig created - how do I do that? My current Sig is the one I want, just bigger.

Save it as Jpg

Hmm, it still says "The total size of the image file(s) used is 57.63Kb whereas the maximum authorized is 30Kb."

Post the image here and I'll try and reduce it...

It's slightly bigger and it's only 25kb, try it...

i will answer your question for you

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

if you are using adobe photoshop, once you have completed your sig.

 

 

 

go to the tag, image, then mode, click on indexlinked colour, then it gives you options as to the no of colours, the palete etc this depends on you type of art. trial and error.

 

 

 

then go save for the web in the film tab which takes you into save for web-powered by image ready click on 4up and zoom in a little this way you can see the quality save you sig as a PNG-8 FILE you will have to try all the diffo settings or just click on the optomized menu which is a drop down menu at the side of the word unnamed and optimize to file size type the size 30kb then save the image. this should alter the size ok
