skeroh Posted November 27, 2006 Share Posted November 27, 2006 okay, so i turned on my pc today, and this popped up okay, so i go to the link, which was a microsoft genuine link, and to validate it, i need to install activeX control, but the activeX doesn't install. what should i do? i can use firefox and it'll validate, but i cannot get internet explorer to validate it. i restarted my pc after firefox validated, and it didn't work. now, some of my webpages are blocked and instead, this shows up. this has happened before, but i don't remember how i got rid of it. im not sure if this is real or not, or if its like a scam or something. what should i do? [*:3lagw2cr]Be patient while the ActiveX loads, do not click on any links. [*:3lagw2cr]Read the instructions on this page while it's loading. You will be prompted to install - click YES. [*:3lagw2cr]Enter your product key then click continue [*:3lagw2cr]When it says "Validation Complete" please click Continue to return to your previous activity [*:3lagw2cr]Copy what it says and paste it here. Most people use the term download loosly... I've seen people "Download" their cd onto their computer and "Download" their USB... I think he meant that it came with the computer he bought... ...
