Erg...

  • [*:3lpr0uuj] Looks like a filter pile.

    [*:3lpr0uuj] Flat colours.

    [*:3lpr0uuj] Little contrast.

    [*:3lpr0uuj] Render is too blended.

    [*:3lpr0uuj] Font doesn't fit.

    [*:3lpr0uuj] No border.

[*:3lpr0uuj] Bring the 'Main Text' and 'Subtext' closer together. Then put the 'Main text' to ~80-90% opacity and 'Subtext' to around ~60-75% opacity.

A start, but much to improve on.

i was actually using brushes not filters.. -.- also, the text wasnt suppose to fit the sig and, i was just about to save my uber new border then my comp crashed. ill work on those things tho

EDIT: FYI I only used 1 filter, Clouds :-#

I really, really doubt the only filter you used is clouds. I'm not saying it was fully a filter pile, but I am fairly certain you used other filters such as wave. There is a very little chance you could brush such smooth curves and such lighting - even I can't. (Hah, ego +2)

Oh, and don't save it as GIF.

Er, it's still not any improved. Just text and border.

The font choice is good.

The text is hard to read though.

Border is basic so nothing to crit.

I still doubt you brushed it fully. :-w Those waves coming from the light have got to be either filter'd or an image overlay.

Well, i set all my brushes to 'soft light' if thats what you mean? but seriously the only filter i used was clouds...

What u mean like flat colours, little contrast and rednder is too blended? If i want to get better i need to know how to do these things :$

Flat colours - Caused by little contrast.

Contrast - The difference in colour saturation, brightness and hue.

Go to "Layer -> New Adjustment Layer -> Brightness and Contrast", set the brightness to ~10 and contrast to ~25.

Too blended - You can only just make out the render. This is often caused by flat colours and the colours layer being on top of the render.

I assume you used a hue & saturation layer or just ctrl+u'd the background layer. :/ Don't use a flat hue & sat layer. They look bad and flatten the colours entirely.

No no no... Too much saturation.

Put the saturation inbetween what it was before and what it is now.

Sort the text.

Put it white with a black outline. Set it to overlay and lower the opacity slightly.

Blend the render.

Duplicate it. On the bottom one blur it by about 5px and the top, feather it by about 5px. (Read my tut [link in sig] for further explanation and pics)

Nonono. *blind'd*

Too bright. Contrast could be a tad higher.

Do not put the bright&cont. layer above the render.

Blend the render.

Need a thicker text. It's just too hard to read.

knkcopy.jpg

i swear your just trying to anoy him. first the render is blended too much, now not enough.

however i agree with him on sum partsa, increast the cont and lower the sat a tad.

100% my own work, i make my own brushes: set 1 set 2

Heh, just to let you know Brad, the most updated version with the few tips CE gave you (even if you can't seem to please him  ) made it look much better.

Bleh, once I get off my lazy bum and go to Imageshack, there will be a picture here.

This is what I meant :P;

[*:2p2gsfzu] More contrast. ( Although, no matter how I put it, there was never a big difference. )

    [*:2p2gsfzu] Less saturation.

[*:2p2gsfzu] Render is blended. ( Especially the sword, it looked so bad ><; )

    [*:2p2gsfzu] Text isn't as intrusive.

[*:2p2gsfzu] Font is thicker and more easily readable.

[*:2p2gsfzu] B+L technique used to lighten and soften the signature.

(Yeah I did make this from his v.3, if you have any objection, i'll take this down.)
