November 29, 200619 yr I'm just curious... I haven't tried this, but as I gather Mort Myre fungi for herblore, I'm often assailed by a good 3-5 ghasts as I fill up the aul inventory (I collect just inside the gates to Mort Myre swamp). As such, I lose 3-6 Mort Myre Fungi from my Druid Pouch each trip. I was wondering a few things: (1) as I bless the Mort Myre Fungi on logs, I often bless some branches. Can I stick those branches in my pouch instead of fungi? Never tried before, but the thought just came to me. (2) if you're not carrying food or a Druid Pouch with stuff in it, Ghasts drain energy. But if I'm collecting Fungi, will the Ghasts first rot the fungi in my inventory in lieu of being transformed via the Druid Pouch, or draining energy? (3) if I bring some junky food that I have in my inventory, will the Ghasts rot that food first, and then move on to my Mort Myre Fungi? Ergo, if I bring like 8 trout, by the time they get to the last one, my prayer is gone and I can leave without losing any Mort Myre Fungi or energy? Thanks in advance.
November 29, 200619 yr Author Found one of the answers to my own question (guess that means I was too quick to post :anxious: when I should have been researching. Lazy git.): Use the Silver sickle(B) to Cast-bloom ... while standing near rotten logs, branches or bushes in Mort Myre Swamp, causing Mort myre fungi, pears or branches to bloom. Pick up these items. Click on your Druid pouch to Fill it with these items... I guess I'll just have to make sure I only have branches in the inventory when I click to fill.
November 29, 200619 yr I gather fungi with no food and 1 pray pot and no pouch. I cast the bloom til pray low, sip potion to keep up pray and let ghasts damage away, If no food in inv they do normal damage, which is pretty low. Also I try to cast bloom by two or more logs so the effect hits more fungi. When fill up I telly away with glory or duel ring or other. Not free Lumby as a ghast hit will cancel. Geaux Tigers ! Congrats on a great year !
November 29, 200619 yr Author ... If no food in inv they do normal damage, which is pretty low... So you're saying that they don't rot the fungi, as they rot the food? That is most excellent news. Seems like the Druid Pouch is entirely unneccessary, then, if you have a decent enough defense level.
