im1knight Posted December 4, 2006 Share Posted December 4, 2006 everytime the update icon pop up, i click install, and guess wat.. nothing happens.. after 2 mins it just disappear.. adn next day the same icon pop up again... i tried to disable norton but didn't seems to help.. any1 know wats the problem? can i get the update from java website? is so.. where? cuz i didn't find it..lol Quit runescape on Jan 6th of 2008, at level of 115 with around 150M worth of item in bank...however stats still remainsWorld 59, the world i loved~ Now 95% dedicated to playing Microsoft flight simulator http://www.youtube.com/user/im1knightmy youtube channel with many FSX videos i made. please leave a comment if you will Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Cruiser Posted December 10, 2006 Share Posted December 10, 2006 You both will most likely be best off just uninstalling the current version and reinstalling fresh with the latest version from suns website. It'll save the headache of trying to troubleshoot why and gets you to the same end, an up to date Java install. Sun's java installers are found here. You'll want "Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 Update 10" (5th item down). Click download, accept the licence on the page and install one of the two options (they're both the same thing, one is an offline install, the other downloads while installing).
