Suggestion: non-native speaking mods

This may have been suggested before:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jagex should look specifically for player mods that speak languages different from English (of course, they should be fluent in English as well).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Yesterday, I was on a Dutch server for a change, and I remembered why I never go to them, even though they should be the fastest for me: people are cussing, arguing and calling each other the worst possible names. I was really shocked by the things people were saying and I'm not that easily shocked.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But you can't report them.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jagex is doing so much effort to make sure people don't break the rules, but non-native speakers can just do so at leisure.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Of course, it's impossible to have mods from every language zone, but once you install a server or two in a certain zone, I think Jagex should include mods to make safe these areas. Maybe they do so, but I've yet to see them on the Dutch servers...

Strangest thing is that the filter will not allow totaly normal dutch words

 

 

 

because the slightly look like "dirty" english words, but will allow the

 

 

 

most disgusting curses in dutch

Nah, the English speaking Runescapers would act exactly the same as the Dutch rulebreakers if there wasn't the filter and/or the threat of getting reported.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Dutch Servers (as well as the Norwegian ones I guess) are just sort of lawless.

Wow I guess not everyone knows that Jagex covers non-English reports too..and Dutch happens to be one of it. If you see someone cussing in Dutch or in a language you can understand (just be sure it's really offensive :P), report it.

Then I guess they don't spend a lot of time on the Dutch servers. I'm sorry, but it's really horrible. I know there are players who are made mod and speak Dutch, but I doubt they are 'language specific' mods, which means that a lot of them don't even use the Dutch servers. (And who could blame them.)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Good thing about the reporting though. Had no idea Jagex could look into those reports as well. A lot of players have no idea it's possible though, most are afraid to get black marks themselves for reporting. As a result, there does seem to be a sense of lawlessness on the Dutch servers.

I'm Dutch myself, and spend a lot of time on Dutch servers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I agree, there are sooooo many name-callers (sp?) and they're just rotten apples. If you don't know something what's said on a Dutch server, I mostly know it, so you could pm me on RS.

so I do tent to not log in on those servers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Thinking about it it's really a sad thing that they can keep me
