runiburger
Hey everyone, I'm going to buy a new 8800GTX GFX card and Asus P5N32-E SLI Mobo for my PC, but my power supply is only 430W (Came with my case). Here is what else I have in my PC: Core 2 Duo E6700 Asus P5N-SLI 2x Pioneer DVD+-RW Drive DVico Dual Digital Tuner Sound Blaster X-Fi Platnum 2x WD Raptor 150GB 10,000RPM and I was wondering if I would need a new PSU, and if I did which one I should get. MY budget is about $175USD I like bees
Diminished2b
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6817194004 It's probably a bit over what you need, but if you decide to go SLI it should still keep up. And yes, 430 watts is likely too low. (Companies say no, but real world results may differ, but I wouldn't try it.)
Kinslayer777
Comes with your case, but what your case any good? I've actually heard cases having quality psu's before, albeit rarely. Can you find out at all what sort it is? well, of course, you've probably tried but maybe just if you didnt for some odd reason :s Ick at the 2xraptors. expensive, icky, LOUD, and hardly better then 7200.10 seagate...Say no to raptors ;) [i hope no one kills me for my lack of expertise and attitude as if i had any real good knowledge. But I havnt seen any tests showing them much quicker, have heard similar rantings, and despise how loud and pricey they are :P]
runiburger
My case is a Cooler Master Centurion 534 silver. Well I used to have a Seagate 500GB drive but I dropped it and it smashed. Lol, that PSU is nice but on the box for the 8800GTX it recommends a 750W PSU (OMG!). But one problem, NewEgg doesn't deliver overseas. So maybe I'll see if I can get the same thing somewhere else. What about this one: http://www.nintek.com.au/x/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=7677 Antec TruePower Trio 650W $225.00AU/$175US I like bees
