Nadril
hmm.. They aren't bad, thats for sure. But the style its self is seemingly so overdone. Throw around some random [or semi-random] brushing around a canavas, mess with that a bit and slap a HUGE 'render' over them, covering up half the image. I do like the text placement for the most part, however. The images themselves "do" look just fine, its just such an overused and kind of tiring style of image. Metroid
I personally don't like this style, never have. It's way too over used around the runescape community sites. The lighting is alright, but only about 60% accurate. =/ And the stocks are too big, resize them, then try making some c4ds and adding them.. or maybe use a premade one. Protect the Light... eckered
:D thats us for yeh =P just wait till cad gets on... then your guna wana cry for your mommy i know thats what i always want to do jk jk lol... lighting- completely random, but at least its there... focus the lighting on the render by adding gradients. flow- to put it frankly, there is none. these are [bleep]ey and compleatly random effects. on the top one, you attempted it with the line thing (i always love that effect for some reason) but the brushing kills it. again this relates back to the lighting issue. depth- little to none. again, the line in the top one (wif text on it) helps, but the brushing looks flat. in the bottem one, not really much of an effect, just some random brushing and filters. try c4ds,both on top and on the bottem of the render, erasing what you dont like, and use different photoshop effects. theres more then enough out there, including scanlines, patterns, chequred squares, the the line&stroke tool thing, and all those blending modes. border- make it a few pixels wider on the top and bottem, but otherwise well done there. text- bottem one is good. nice choice there, but the top one is just meh. color- there is none. the slivers are hard on the eyes, and dont really do anything for me. the bottem one is understandable because of the render, but the top one is just blah. color can be added by the use of gradient maps, overlay layers, and gradients. blending- very good overall, but then again its not hard to blend gray with more gray. renders- bottem one is meh, at least you changed it a bit and blended it well, but the top one? a smooth anime render over some [bleep]ey brushing? your light sources contradict, and the render and brushing dont match at all. also, dont paste your render over 75% of the thing, scale it. thats all for now. just do me a favor, after i took the time to type all this out, at least read through it, and try some of it, instead of "ccing my cc" and telling me why im wrong. wop wop
