ok, i've just made a new guy for rs. I cant decide what i want my guy to be: a mage, archer, or warrior. If you have any advice on which one i should choose (pros, cons, personal opinions) i would greatly appritiate your input. Thx.

i would say pure mage, he will own in the wildy against people with full rune.

If this is your first character, make it a balanced one; you can always make another.

Seriously, if this isn't your first one (which i highly doubt it is because you're posting in runescape fan site) make it a magepure. They're fun to toy with and they will kill in wilderness, especfially if you use Zaros magics (Ancient Magicks)

Yea pure mage is good, however i also like pure range. Maybe its because i lost my first set of full rune to a pure ranger. God he owned me hard core lol. You don't want to take off your armour coz he'll hit you more but he is still hitting 15's thru your armour so its hard. Pure mage will only kill warriors and not much else. But a pure ranger will kill the mage and if your high enough, will pwn warriors too.

i personally dont like mages cuz of the amount of money u have to infest in him, but they are good..hybrids own with the 2h combo if u learn how to do it right. cuz then you have range and melee and basically if you know what your doing, you'll own. good luck

if you are going to be f2p.. make it a range mage pure becasue after 59 magic a mage pure sucks but if you have 99 range and 59 mage.. you can own.

Pure melee. If you get the stats high you own the wilderness and everything in your path.

I made a ranger when I made a pure account, why? Because as already illustrated with all these posts about becoming a mage and owning in the wilderness I quickly realised that there are many many mages in the wilderness. And as the combat triangle dictates rangers>magers. Of course it depends what level you want to pk at, for example there are alot of magers in wilderness 1 and 2 but deeper out it becomes more melee and range dominated. Anyway in my opinion ranging is the way to go but it is up to you.
