I'm in the warriors guild trying to get a black defender. I've used around 700 tokens and yet to have a defender. Is there a certain amount needed for each class of defender?

It's all luck. Some go thousands of tokens without even a bronze, while some can get them all within a few thousand or less.

I used in excess of 2500 tokens to get my rune defender, but IMO most get it with less than 1500.
