Needing advice on F2P Mage training

Featured Replies

Hello, My name is Nevony Zaki, and I just returned to F2P yesterday, however, I am at a total loss of how to train up my Magic level (currently level 66). I wish to high alchemize things in mass amount (like P2pers alchemize yew/magic longbows), but I have no idea in mind of what to alchemize. I heard Steel Platebodies are good, but I am not going to mine thousands and thousands of iron and coal and smelt them into steel bars and smith them into steel platebodies. That way, it is too time-cosuming and exhausting. If I want to alchemize, say like, 20k Steel platebodies, wouldn't I need to mine 200k coal and 100k iron?? And I am not gonna buy Steel bars because if I do that, I would be suffering a huge loss. Steel bars are 500 ea, hence making one platebody would cost me 2500GP. Plus the 300GP for nature runes. Steel platebodies give much lesser than that when alchemized. So people, I need your advice on what I should alchemizeother than steel platebodies. By the way, my Smithing level is 60.

Not really anything that I would consider "good" to alch in F2P.

I would recomend curse or just attack spells.

Thanks for your response, but oh yea, I think I will go with Cursing, and I am intending to PK with fire blast when my mage gets a little higher. But is there surely nothing I can alchemize in F2P?

People used to high alch wheat back in the day; but if you intend on making money there are few thing you can alch in bulk for a profit.

I do not plan to make cash with alchemizing, but as long as I do not suffer from a loss, I would be fine. Anyway, how much does wheat alch for?

eh. high alch steel platebodies.

about the wheat ... it was just a joke? but i used to high alch shrimps and logs. I'm rich, so i don't care about money.

stick to cursing, cauz theres nothing good to alch in f2p

I doubt anything anymore; you wouldnt even break even. People used to do it for the sake of castign that spell.

You could mine all the coal and buy iron to make steel plates. This way you dont lose any money when you alch them. You could also buy rune meds for 10k and high alch them for a small profit. But, other than that, hich alching f2p isn't a very good way to obtain magic experience.
