January 4, 200719 yr Does anyone know how to open them? I think you have to extract them but it doesn't work and I really wanna watch this vid (its on an actress) \:D/ Ray::P2P::::Roaming Around::::Phat me pl0x?::::Beamster:: \:D/
January 4, 200719 yr Moved this to Tech and Computers. I'm no expert, but I think it depends on the file. Somethings, like images can be viewed when in zipped form, but i'm not sure about videos so you're probably just best extracting it and opening it from the new file. January 4, 200719 yr dont u have winzip? http://www.winzip.com or winrar? http://www.win-rar.org if so - get 1 - i recommend winrar. they make zipped files a lot easier to open, extract, create ect.
January 4, 200719 yr You also don't specify what operating system you're using. XP has native zip support, where you just open it as though it's a directory and then copy & paste the file from within.
January 4, 200719 yr Author Oh I'm using XP \:D/ Ray::P2P::::Roaming Around::::Phat me pl0x?::::Beamster:: \:D/
January 4, 200719 yr they r file compressing programs that u use instead of XPs default if u ever come across a .rar or .7z file your gonna need winrar to unzip it, and a lot of videos come compressed like that you really should use it

January 4, 200719 yr Uhm okay I got that winrar thing....now the icons of the files are 3 books....but it still wont let me open it to watch it video =( It'll let me look at the text tho.. You have to "extract" the archive to a folder on your system for the video to be usable. When you open WinRAR there should be an "Extract to" button at the top. Click it, select the folder you want the files stored in and hit ok.
January 4, 200719 yr Author hmm...That didn't make much of a different =S. When I extract it, it makes new files and theyre named the same but instead of 'Winrar ZIP archive' it says 'MOV file' \:D/ Ray::P2P::::Roaming Around::::Phat me pl0x?::::Beamster:: \:D/
January 4, 200719 yr Author Ooo...So I'm guessing I have to download that to watch my video? Can someone give me a link if that's true? and THANK YOU mbridges lol \:D/ Ray::P2P::::Roaming Around::::Phat me pl0x?::::Beamster:: \:D/
January 5, 200719 yr Official Apple quicktime download or Quicktime Alternative Quicktime alternative plays everything Apples official quicktime does but in a smaller package and without the annoyances the official version comes with.
January 6, 200719 yr I suggest you use 7-Zip instead of Winrar. After 40 days, winrar pops up a window telling you to buy it every time you start it. 7-Zip is free and open source, and can open .zip and .rar files, as well as many others. Where the bloody hell are you?
