The Unwanted Gift

Featured Replies

I wrote this a few years ago. The language is simple as the beginning is about the feelings of my five year old self. The structure isn't great, but that's not what it's about. The intention is not to impress, just to convey raw feelings. The story in this poem is true.

Aw it's really nice! It's quite short, but I think that's good. I know poems don't have to rhyme to be good poems, but I think it adds a bit of 'fairy dust' if you know what I mean! Nice one. =D>

I think it was perfect the way it is. Although listening to music lessened the effect some what

Anyway I think that it is really a good poem and you can tell when someone put actual feelings into a poem. So even though it wasn't the best poem in poetry's sense of poems it was the best in the emotional sense of poems....if that makes sense.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Wow, I think it has some really deep meaning to you, and it shows. Well done I think it's really good
