I have noticed, that when I want to get generally far in the forums, I can't easily. You can only go up page by page unless you go to one of the last. My suggestion is for everyone on tip.it to be able to choose a certain page to go to, the format would be something like:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Go to page: [ X ]

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

X is what you can change to whatever page you would like to go to. I think this would help so you dont have to spend a lot of time to get a certain page number.

I have been meaning to update the Pagination for ages, just always slips my mind, I'll get to it eventually :P

Yes good idea. It will help heaps with long threads where you want to read the middle pages section and can't go there directly as it only displays the last 3 pages of a thread.

Ok, I've finished off and implemented a new pagination code to the viewforum and viewtopic pages so multiple pages are easier to navigate.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If there are more then 10 but less then 20 pages on a forum or a topic , a dropdown menu with all the page numbers will appear , simply select the page you want and the page will load.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If there are more then 20 pages , a text box will appear , simply enter the page number you want and press enter.

As a result of this update, it now seems that the "Jump to new post" button (the arrow pointing to an orange page) no longer works. It now just jumps you to the first post in the thread.

Hmm... I guess its just an isolated insident... But when I go to that "conspiricy" topic in General P2P (the mysterious disappearance of Honest1), if I hit the newest post button, it just jumps me to the first post...
