the monsters will respawn faster in a more crowded world, but i don't think the drop chances will increase/decrease

Theoretically, your chances increase due to the faster respawns. I don't think your chances increase due to however many people there are, though.

The respawn time really isn't too much faster, your chances really won't depend on what world you are on.
