i'de say varrock is closer, thats the route i always go. Go north along the castle then cut west along the edge of the wild. And i would say tellegrabbing is good money, but your also losing some for the runes you use. At least mining you gain xp, money, and your not waisting anything of yours. But it will probbably take longer.

I was mining some today (f2p) go to alkarid mining site and mine the two at the top.

 

 

 

Hop, repeat.

 

 

 

Out of the 12 times I hopped I only found unlit rocks once.
