Heyy :). I will be adding whenever I write. Sorry for any spelling/grammer errors! Pleaseee point out errors so I can correct them, thanks! This is also posted on a poetry site, so some people might recognise it from there - I'm not plagerizing I can prove the connection. So, enjoy :) (alotttt of themes lol. all written about one girl - if the theme fits) Some of these...Might go against rules? Im not really sure what the rules are on content, but it looks fine to me. The Most Important Thing To Me

 

 

 

The most important thing to me,

 

 

 

Is not a book, movie or car,

 

 

 

It's not a food a plant or tree.

 

 

 

It is something rare, hard to find,

 

 

 

It cannot be bought, or traded for,

 

 

 

It enlightens the greatest mind.

 

 

 

This thing I speak of is so great,

 

 

 

It makes my life the best it can,

 

 

 

I'll tell you now of this great fate.

 

 

 

Nothing I know is equal to,

 

 

 

The feeling or the presence of,

 

 

 

My one and only dearest you.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Saving Me

 

 

 

When the only thing I know is sadness and anger,

 

 

 

You are my life saving boat, to show me the truth.

 

 

 

Your words are undying, and never untrue,

 

 

 

And when this is all over I hope I only have you.

 

 

 

Like a sock for a foot, you comfort me and keep me,

 

 

 

Warm like the sun, your hearts glow is free.

 

 

 

If I were to go, it would be because you had,

 

 

 

And if I stay, its because you are here.

 

 

 

Youve fvieled my heart, to an unmarkable place,

 

 

 

Ill wait forever, standing in this place.

The Real Pain

 

 

 

I loved you so truly

Golden Shores

 

 

 

I met you in those early days,

 

 

 

When everything was a blurry haze.

 

 

 

Oh I knew, at first sight I knew,

 

 

 

One day, I would be in love with you.

 

 

 

Everything went great we became so close,

 

 

 

Went through things that no one knows.

 

 

 

Every moment lasted a lifetime, more,

 

 

 

Feeling like I lived on Gods Golden Shore.

 

 

 

The years passed and the times were great,

 

 

 

Every second I thanked God for fate.

 

 

 

Fate did not agree, and took you from me,

 

 

 

And left me alone, half a man to be.

 

 

 

It cut me to the core, to be like this,

 

 

 

I begged God each night for your kiss.

 

 

 

The dark pain lasted for months and years,

 

 

 

All the great things became horrible fears.

 

 

 

Nothing left inside, I succumb,

 

 

 

Fingers slowly go numb.

 

 

 

But my dear it was not all in vain,

 

 

 

I ended that empty pain.

 

 

 

I joined you again, on that Golden Shore

 

 

 

Our hands entwined, forever more.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Everything

 

 

 

Everything has been and forever will be

 

 

 

For you, repayment of teaching me.

 

 

 

You showed me the way, to truly love,

 

 

 

You showed me how, to rise above.

 

 

 

It was me not long ago, in the start,

And the amazing feeling, of being renewed

I cleaned out my room, trying to clear my head,

 

 

 

I think of the times, lying with you in my bed.

 

 

 

Hours would pass, and I would hold you so tight,

 

 

 

I can remember thinking of you all day, and all night.

 

 

 

But Sarah you left me, and my bed is so cold,

 

 

 

Because Sarah now, Ive got no one to hold.

 

 

 

Ive found the notes, we always used to write,

 

 

 

But my ink is in red, on this cold, lonely night.

 

 

 

I found the Cd's the music is a bad thought,

 

 

 

Because Sarah, I am here, but you are not.

 

 

 

You dont know, how much I love you so,

 

 

 

Because every time I tell you, away you go.

 

 

 

And I dont think, you will ever realize,

 

 

 

I will never forget you, youll never hear my goodbyes.

 

 

 

I cannot say goodnight, because it never will be,

 

 

 

And without you around, the world is killing me.

 

 

 

Sarah come back I am a wreck and I am nearly done

It Appeared

 

 

 

The man sat on his stool,

 

 

 

His fingers painted nimbly.

 

 

 

But suddenly before him,

 

 

 

A flash of fire ignited magically.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The man knew soon,

 

 

 

The fire was Satan.

 

 

 

But he stood up straight

 

 

 

And faced the Man.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

"What do you want?

 

 

 

Why have you come?"

 

 

 

Satan stood quiet

 

 

 

Wondering where the man came from.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In a deep dark voice

 

 

 

Satan spoke few things

 

 

 

"Did you do right?"

 

 

 

Then he spread his fiery wings

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It was like a mirror,

 

 

 

To his life now passed.

 

 

 

He stood still, and watched,

 

 

 

Watched his life, from first to last.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

As a boy by the river,

 

 

 

Fishing and chewing hay.

 

 

 

Many days he passed

 

 

 

Down by the water at play.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

His young teens, days of love

 

 

 

The special day on the docks.

 

 

 

They ran away together,

 

 

 

Across the beach of rocks.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Vows made to last,

 

 

 

She danced with his father.

 

 

 

Then they danced all night,

 

 

 

After a toast from his brother.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A son strong and wise,

 

 

 

Their love combined.

 

 

 

He grew quick, left by himself,

 

 

 

Leaving his parents behind.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The old man paused, as a tear touched his chin

 

 

 

And Satan stood standing still.

 

 

 

The man looked on,

 

 

 

As the Devil spread a grin.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

His son returned 4 years later.

 

 

 

After he paid his due.

 

 

 

His son's bed was draped,

 

 

 

In a flag red, white and blue.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Upon his son's wooden case,

 

 

 

He tossed the piles of dirt.

 

 

 

His wife stood crying,

 

 

 

The man was truly hurt.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

He stared at the Devil,

 

 

 

As the tears filled his eyes.

 

 

 

"Why would you take him"

 

 

 

But Satan didn't answer his cries.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

He stared back at the past,

 

 

 

The scene was the worst.

 

 

 

Where his wife lay cold,

 

 

 

And he was how he was at first.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

He could taste the salt,

 

 

 

In his constant stream of tears.

 

 

 

As he reached out to Satan,

 

 

 

And answered for those years.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

"I didn't mean it,

 

 

 

I was confused and afraid."

 

 

 

Was the man's final plea.

 

 

 

But the man's life, was finally laid.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It all seemed fine to the man looking on,

 

 

 

It appeared a true and honest life.

 

 

 

But that man didn't know,

 

 

 

He hated his son, and killed his wife.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Government

 

 

 

The soldier stood proud

 

 

 

Over the body he had shot

 

 

 

His cries were loud

 

 

 

His gun was still hot.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

His foot upon the victim

 

 

 

He wiped his brow of sweat

 

 

 

The soldier looked upon him

 

 

 

He had repaid his debt.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

His country had called him

 

 

 

The army and their god

 

 

 

To find and kill them

 

 

 

For terrorism and fraud

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

They had hurt his country

 

 

 

They had slain his kin

 

 

 

They had committed heresy

 

 

 

The lie burned in his skin

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

'They are the enemy,

 

 

 

Not a friend of ours

 

 

 

They caused the death of many

 

 

 

They are responsible for your scars.'

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

'Rid them from here!

 

 

 

Make them know,

 

 

 

We have no fear.

 

 

 

To their desert land we go.'

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The soldier contemplated

 

 

 

The words of his commanders

 

 

 

He thought it unjust and decided

 

 

 

To send the family flowers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But alas he was shot,

 

 

 

As he stepped off his kill.

 

 

 

He was forgotten not,

 

 

 

His memory is here still.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Why did he kill, for who?

 

 

 

Why didn't he relent?

Growing Up

 

 

 

It starts in the spring, It blooms so bright

 

 

 

Shining young and pretty, in the soft sunlight.

 

 

 

The days are nice, and the thereÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s no problem with weather

 

 

 

The winds blows away your problems, not a single care

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The summer brings the heat, the growing and learning,

 

 

 

As trees reach the clouds and the flowers are yearning

 

 

 

Passing so quickly, no recollection of spring,

 

 

 

The young leap into fall, not knowing what it brings

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Maturing with age, old trees grow strong, some weak

 

 

 

A life long journey of knowledge and love to seek

 

 

 

But the cold wind blows truth, a little less love

 

 

 

As the winter winds begin to push the old and shove

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The winter too soon brings a cold wind of the past

 

 

 

As an old man sits, and remembers life, from first to last

 

 

 

The cold winds slow his breath, his eyes close slowly

Hooray! \ Loved them all, some more than others. My favourites were probably I Simply Love You, Saving Me, and Golden shores. I love the way they rhyme, it sounds like you didn't really ditort the poem to get it to rhyme, and that's great. :thumbsup:
