mchainmail pretty much highlighted all the basics for you. But I think the main thing to realize is that when you are hiring runners, you make the rules. Of course, there are some things that will attract more runners than others. You will probably get more runners if:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

- You accept pouches (not always desirable for you, but it will attract more people)

 

 

 

- You pay them in gp (overpaying will attract more people, but like I said above, it's not exactly desirable for you)

 

 

 

- You request that they line up

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Basically, to attract the most people, you will have to make some sacrifices, but remember: you make the rules.
