construction: bookcase etc - clearing bank space?

I have just started construction up to lvl 20 or so, and habe built some book cases.

When I search them, i find loads of books from quests etc.

Does this mean i can remove the original books from my bank and drop them? I tried briefly with the Abbys book, and it no longer appeared in the search option, although it was still in my backpack inventory.

Is it safe to drop these book items, as i dont know if i will need them again and i hate dropping stuff.

What other bank space clearing options are there (costume room etc - in simple terms, please)- all the guides are very long and sometimes appear contradictery.

Just try using the books with the shelves. If it goes in, then good. If not, then it probably wouldn't hurt to hang onto them.

I believe Jagex said the bookcase was to hold books that they felt you might want to read again.

don't worry, you are going to "hell" anyway. wanna race to see who gets there first?

ok - thats the solution for the bookcase - take books there and they are 'returned to case' when use on case.

What about costumes etc? I have loads of mime, lederhosen etc - what is the deal with them?

(just got crystal saw but still a bit off from making costume room)

Fir that you need the costume room.

There you can construct rack for cape and treasure trail items, random items, holidays drops, some magic robes (mage (all 3) and lunar)

it is definitely a must

Note that to put things in a "garderobe", you need to have the complete set
