Hey yall, I'm a technology so I was hoping some of you could help. I'm going to buy /WF06b/1090709-1116637-1116665-1116665-1116665-12924872-78168553.html]this computer.

It's a HP Pavillion dv6207TX Notebook with 1.6GHz intel core duo processor, 1 gig ram, 120 GB harddrive and windows vista.

Any feedback on the reliability and performance specs of this computer would be greatly appreciated because as all of you may know, a computer costs a lot of money and is a important investment.

Thanks.

The specs look good. I can't really comment on the price because of AUD to USD conversions. It will definitely do anything basic (school, basic games, ect) and the video card should be able to play most games. It won't be able to play them on high settings but should still be playable.

The only thing I would be careful of is jumping into Vista so soon. MS products are known to have issues when they are first released. Vista also has very little software support at the moment, even after a good year of public testing.

It will definitely get done whatever you need it to do, you just may have some teething problems getting software to work in the next few weeks since Vista is so new.

all the specs look good, but is the prosesser upgradable (from the factory) the clock speed seems a little low. try a 1.8 or a 2.0 gjhz. but hp makes good laptops. the reliablity is very good, and they look nice. they usually rank after apple and dell in consumer reports
