please tell me how i can improve (alot of ways ,i know) and rate this bow

i think its really good, but...the overall style of the bow...i've always imagined it a bit more like hypergod's signature...*searches forums for a topic of his*

like that.

just the general shape.

Agreed, The bow ought to at least look slightly functional, I can't imagine how a normal human being would hold a bowgrip shaped like that comfortably....

ty for the comments , the shape is like that cos i took a cylinder and used mesh editing on it (im a n00b at 3d)then i just cloned it and rotated it , im using 3d max 6 and with the grass , i just used a plain texture that comes with it , im gonna make some real grass tonight and make it a little bumpier ,

ill save that sig u posted , try and get it to that kinda shape ...if its ok with the author ?

Is that just a cylinder for the bow string? If so, you might want to just use a renderable spline so you get a nicer, more accurate line. Also as said above, you might want to make it a little less angular and have it flow more nicely, so it looks more like a bow (like in that COol Cat sig). Other then that...Id say give it a slight bit of wood texturing to it, or atleast a bump, to that it looks like it was crafted from wood rather then the metallic way it looks now.

yup u got me , its a cylinder ..i dont even know what a renderable spline is know any tuts that explain it plz

ill change the texture on it so it gives off less shine and has some wood texture on it

edit:i decided to get rid of the table for now, im gonna hang it on a wall so that i can add in a shadow thing

ty

its nice, but a pitty of the grip, but realy nice :D

Maby you should add a quivver with some arrows in it laying on the tabel? :P

I just noticed the string and bow dont actually connect......

...they're just gently touching and you can see the curve of the string cylinder..... you should have put the bow tips over the string so at least it looks like they're joined......

is it just my eyes... or the bow has no shadow? :?

nice tho :P

Yeah.. I'd say you need to add a shadow.. Fix the bowstring(Looks like its a thick string sitting straight next to the bow) and the grip..

Otherwise it's pretty good!

Cool, nice bow
