Question About Clan Websites

Featured Replies

In the Combat Clan recruitment Forum it say it says not to post clan websites with a freewebs url in the Clan Driectory. I was just wondering why that was? im wondering becausei recentaly started a clan with my friend and (ironicaly) used freewebs is there something bad about it i should know about? also wile browseing through the clan directory (Haveing something like that is a truly brilliant idea by the way) i saw some clans that had posted freeweebs sites. so does that mean that the ones that were already posted can stay and just no new ones? or am i mistaken? Also in the rules for the clan recruitment section thers nothing that says anything about freewebs so is it ok to post a link like that there and just not in the clan directory? (that wouldent make much sense lol but im not sure) if anyone could clear this up i would very much appreciate it. Also im sory if this is in the wrong section im new to the forums here so i wasent 100% sure but this seemed like the right place.

Peace, Such a simple concept yet so few people seem to truly understand.

We have from time to time had to cencor freewebs completly. It's not honestly the most secure free web site out there. Alot of people seem to be happy with invisionfree though.

hmm i see...so..would you recomend i ditch it compleatly? or would it be ok to use? i mean i dont see anything realy wrong with it but im certinaly no expert on this sort of thing so i would have to take your word on it. we dont even use the site much except for some information and new updates the rest of our business is taken care of on the forums (phpbb forums kinda similar to thes except on a much smaller scale) and when you say insecure how so? im just curious, if it's something major i'll switch right away but if not i might just stay with it. Also what exactaly is the policy about posting freewebs urls do you only censor ones that are a problem or is it all of them?

i just wana know so i dont end up in trouble because of it lol :|

thanks for the help by the way :)

I wouldnt ditch it, but I also wouldnt keep my most important secrets on it either. Any software if not kept up-to-date can be un-secure. Freewebs has had a habbit in the past of not being so up-to-date. This may have changed by now. I don't know.

You can post the url, but you may find it cencored on and off. This is one web site we have had to add and remove later from the cencor on and off.

ooooo i understand about the censoring now thank you very much for clearing that up! and thank you for the advice i guess in that case i will keep it for now but if i have any problems i probably wont hesitate to switch, thanks for all the information. i guess since my question was answered you can lock and/or delete this or whatever it is that needs to be done. unless thesr a reason for it to stay i dont know lol i'll leave that to the experts to decide lol

I'll leave it here and unlocked for now. Others may have the same question. ;)

Yea. That should be ok. And if you have a freewebs site maybe try using a free domain name. Like .co.nr.

No problem. Remember there has to be a certain amount of visitors per month in order to keep the domain.
