i like the original with sample, simple yet effective. Only improvement with what you have there right now would be to cut down on the blur a bit, and also perhaps create a colored background to replace the plain white (even just using clouds with black and white colors would help). The new version... Ak! too bright! cool down the color somewhat, perhaps a deeper blue would help

The text doesnt exactly match the.... .. stuff.. around the sides either. =X I wouldn't say things that images with sides that mirror each other are the best thing I've ever seen, but I guess it's somewhat nice...
